Anecdotal is a type of story told by a person that relies solely on the storyteller's account. Artists have a story to tell, but it comes through the ambiguous mechanism of brushstroke and color. Can we ever know the whole story? What part does the viewer have in changing the story to fit their own life? I think about these things sometimes, but I don't think the answer is significant. What's important is that art moves the artist and the viewer in some way. It's why I love making and sharing art!
