"Calpico Mango" original painting by Kasey Wanford

“Calpico (Mango)” is an original painting by abstract artist Kasey Wanford, created with alcohol ink and acrylics on yupo paper. The dominant colors are green and yellow (mango).

The artwork measures 9x12 inches and comes with a bronze-aluminum frame and a 12x16-inch mat. The frame's glass is plexiglass. It is ready to hang either horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference.

Yupo paper is a synthetic surface made of 100% polypropylene. It is non-absorbent, so water-based paints like fluid acrylics spread on the surface in interesting patterns before drying. I enjoy working on yupo! Once the underlayer dries, I use acrylic markers and paints to create a composition that responds to the pathways formed by the fluid paints.
