“Layercake” an Original Abstract Painting by Kasey Wanford

Layercake - an original abstract painting with many bright colors! I enjoy making layers and layers of shapes on a surface to see what it becomes. I work on it over time and just keep adding to it until I feel it's complete.

This original artwork is painted with acrylic paint directly on a single tray-style art panel. It's a way to have the appearance of matted and framed art without the hassle of reflective glass. And there isn't a mat either, it's just white space around the image. No glass, no mat, just art! 

As such, it's important to note that the “frame” is not removable from the painting. Trying to do so would risk damage to the art.
