The lines in this series of ink paintings recede into the background, hidden behind a translucent layer of yupo, while colorful puddles of color collide on top. I like contrasts, and the black and white geometric lines vs. the organic color is interesting to me. The yupo paper is plastic, and looks a lot like vellum. It is mounted on clear spacers to allow the painted stripes behind to appear distant or close in areas.

11x14 inches alcohol ink on translucent yupo, relief mounted on a striped, acrylic painted wood panel and framed.  The surface is sealed with a UV resistant topcoat. Despite the UV protective topcoat, we still recommend that you do not hang any original artwork in direct sunlight to preserve it's longevity.
